Nick Ruktanonchai and Corrine Ruktanonchai have published "Integrated vaccination and physical distancing interventions to prevent future COVID-19 waves in Chinese cities" in Nature Human Behavior. They used data to inform social contacts throughout China, and included this social contact index to inform transmission of COVID-19 nationwide.

Nick Ruktanonchai is an assistant professor and Corrine Ruktanonchai is a postdoctoral associate in the college's Department of Population Health Sciences. Nick Ruktanonchai's research is focused on infectious disease modeling, vector-borne disease, human mobility, and emerging pathogens. Corrine Ruktanonchai's research interests are rural health inequalities, Bayesian spatiotemporal modeling, and maternal and newborn health.
