Dr. Tedora was a valued member of our CVM community and the Class of 2000. Her contributions to the college and the profession of veterinary medicine have made a lasting impact. She will continue to be remembered fondly and missed dearly.

Obituary

LISA MARIE TEDORA, DVM, age 37 of Manassas, Virginia died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at her residence.

Dr. Tedora was a graduate of Yale University where she received her B.S. in English. She received her DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Tedora practiced at the Animal Emergency Hospital & Referral Center in Leesburg, VA. She founded Creature Comforts Veterinary Care and was a member of The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She was an avid horsewoman. Dr. Tedora loved books, her family, her pets, and her life's work - caring for animals.

Survivors include her parents Kenneth and Alberta Tedora of Altoona, PA, her sister Kimberly Tedora of Falls Church, VA, and her paternal grandmother Bertha Tedora of Altoona, PA.

Also surviving are her Aunts and Uncles Joseph and Mary Eckenrode of Gainesville, VA, Albert and Apryle Pelliccioni of Bellefonte, PA, cousins Joseph Eckenrode and his wife Marie of Bealeton, VA, Amy Eckenrode and her son Brandon of Gainesville, VA, and Kate Pelliccioni of Bellefonte, PA.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2006 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. A second visitation will be held at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, 719 N. 4th Ave., Altoona, PA. (814) 942-4555. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 900 N. Fourth St., Altoona, PA with Rev. William A. Rosensteel officiating.
