Dr. Loibl was a valued member of our CVM community and the Class of 1987. His contributions to the college and the profession of veterinary medicine have made a lasting impact. He will continue to be remembered fondly and missed dearly.

Obituary
Originally of Silver Spring, MD, died in his home in Fairbanks, AK on April 23, 2012. Dr. Loibl obtained his MS degree from the University of Maryland in 1983; and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1987. Dr. Loibl served Honorably in the United States Army from 1989 to 1992, and then went into private practice in Fairbanks. Surviving Dr. Loibl are his sisters, Anne Hartley of Silver Spring, MD, Christine Roniger of Metairie, LA and Margaret Baldwin of Saratoga Springs, NY; and his 8 nieces and nephews. There was a private memorial on April 27, 2012 in Fairbanks.
