Mark Anthony Newman, DVM, Diplomat, ABVP, 55, of Blacksburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

He was a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional Veterinary College at Virginia Tech and earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech as well. Mark was well known and loved for his skills as a Veterinarian, but his greatest skill was in his ability to relate to every pet he treated as if it were his own. He is survived by his wife, Lori Young Newman of Blacksburg; his mother and father, Dennis and Barbara Newman of Riner; his sister, Lorri P. Newman of Salem; and two children, Andy and Erin Newman and their mother Carolyn Newman of Radford.
